Stade Roland Garros - Court Philippe Chatrier

The Center Court of the renown tennis stadium Roland Garros in Paris, Court Philippe Chatrier, received a new facade facade design in 2008. The main feature of the facade is a wire mesh construction, which was specially designed for this project by Haver & Boecker.

For this, flat wires are woven in a special manner with round wires. The flat wires highlight the structure of the facade, while at the same time the round wires create single reflexion points creating interesting plays of light.

Depending on the angle of the sun and the viewing angle the mesh facade either appears transparent or opaque.

Haver & Boecker supplied ready-to-install panels and supported the local contractor during the installation.
