Parking Garage 3 - Airport Nuremberg

"We have not only looked at functionality, but also put an emphasis on aesthetics. The car park should create a harmonious connection between an airport-world and the surrounding growing areas."
Karl-Heinz Krüger, Airport Management

With over 4 million passengers annually, the Nuremberg Airport is ranked 10th amongst German airports. An ever-increasing volume of passengers at Nuremberg created the need for a new parking structure. The construction of parking garage P3 not only created new and premium parking possibilities, it also made up for 1,700 ground parking spaces that were eliminated for environmental renaturation.

The new parking garage offers 2,150 parking spaces on 7 floors. Primarily constructed from precast-concrete panels, the 60' high building was built on the existing airport area on a surface of 570,000 sqft.

For the facade cladding W.S. Tyler supplied more than 46,000 sqft of stainless steel wire mesh type DOGLA-TRIO 1011.
