
The development in the Kettingstraat/Achterom area, including the Haver&Boecker facade "De Baljurk" is the winner of the "New-City-Award 2005" of the city of The Hague. The price is awarded for the 10th time to projects, which enhance the urbanistic renewal of the city.

The "Kettingstraat/Achterom" development contributes significantly to the quality of life in one of the most important downtown areas, which the people of The Hague like to get around in the past 10 years.
The new shops are precious additons to the existing retail offerings of the nearby shopping center "The Passage", the Buitenhof, the Spuitstraat and the Venestraat. The jury used the award ceremony to invite all parties involved with this construction to join hands and create one harmonic unit out of the invidiual improvements. Joint work forces in the "Passage" area, Kettingstraat and the Achterom would guarantee a profitable result for the city and everybody involved.
